The field of ‘regenerative cell therapy,’ also referred to as ‘stem cell therapy,’ is evolving rapidly. However, there is limited published scientific evidence available to support its use. The procedure is performed under sedation and fat cells are taken from the abdomen. The stem cells are then separated from the fat cells and these are then injected into the desired area such as a joint or tendon.
